If you have a card that CAN be played

Do you HAVE to play it?


This is another issue where we have found two answers, YES and NO.


If YES then it significantly alters the way the game ends in that you may end up 'floating' and would be required to take two additional cards from the stock pile.


If NO, then you CAN discard Wild cards as well as cards you have melded or are in closed books.


I only found one place on the internet (here) where it talks about the variation of 'floating'.
