Get rid of red 3's (they count as 300 pts against team)

Select a pile of cards.  Deal yourself 11 cards in two piles.  100 points given for exact deals.

Hand one of your piles to the player on your right and the other to the player on the left.

From the two new piles handed to you from your neighbors, choose one to be your ‘foot’ pile and set aside.

Turn begins by selecting two cards from the draw pile and ends with discarding one card.

Team goal at this point is to create as many ‘melds’ as possible.  A ‘meld’ is a pile of like numbers.  To begin a meld, at least 3 cards of like numbers must be laid down.  Meld’s can not be made of only 2's and Jokers.

Jokers and 2's may be used in melds, as long as the ‘real’ numbers are greater than the wilds.

In order for a team to start laying down, one of the team members must lay down the specified point total of cards in melds.  1st hand 50 points, 2nd hand 90 points, 3rd hand 120 points, 4th hand 150 points.  This may be done in several melds and by using wilds.  From that point, when it is a players turn, he/she may add to any of the team’s meld as many times as able.

If a team member lays down a ‘short meld’, meaning that it does not equal the specified point total for that hand, the team is penalized 300 points.

When a meld has seven cards, it is a ‘closed book’.  Meld’s that have used 2's or Jokers are considered ‘dirty’ and are so indicated by placing a black card on top of closed book.  Clean books, or melds that have used only ‘real’ numbers are indicated by putting a red card on top of closed book.

Team may add only ‘real’ numbers to their closed books.

A player may take a card from the discard pile IF he/she can use the top card immediately with two like cards in his/her hand, and only after the specified beginning number (50, 90, 120, 150) has been laid down by either team member.  Player must also take the next 4 cards from discard pile.  2's and Jokers may not be picked up as the top card.  Players who’s team has not yet laid down may not pick up from discard pile.

When a player has used all cards in his/her hand, they then go to the ‘foot deck’.  If the last card in ‘hand deck’ was used as a discard, player must wait until next turn to use ‘foot deck’.

When team has acquired 3 ‘clean books’ they may go out.  This is done when one of the team members gets rid of all cards in his/her hand.  Players may ask partner; “May I go out”?

The cards that are left in remaining players hand are count against team.
